During the Autumn term members of the committee and staff have been in discussions with the owners of the Scout Hut and groups of community volunteers. Following on from these talks work should commence shortly to improve the exterior of the building and grounds. Staff and volunteers from Community Payback will only have limited and supervised access to the building so please be assured that it is business as usual whilst works are carried out.

Committee News

The Grove Pre-School exists and is managed by a committee of staff and parents as a charity and whilst we intend to continue in this way we have now become a charity with incorporated company status. In simple terms this gives The Grove an identity in its own right and removes the financial liability of those serving on its committee. Our name has changed to Grove Pre-School (Stanway) and our new charity number is 203797. We are registered at companies’ house under reference 1144690. The management team are:

Director:                      Sarah Greenham           Chair

Director:                      Kerry Strain                 Treasurer

Company Secretary:     Hannah Hummberstone

Members:                     Colette Halls/Juliet Turner/Katie Mansfield/Julie Scales

Fundraising

We are now registered with easyfundraising which enables us to raise funds through personal shopping online. If you shop in this way you could help us raise funds by registering with easyfundraising and each time you shop you will be helping Grove Pre-School. Please use this link to register http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/grovepreschstanway

Thank-you for all your support with the Blue Bag collection and the recent raffle, we intend to contribute to the improvements the Scouts are making to the hut with some of the money we are raising this year.

Finally if you have any old mobile phones, wallets, purses, or handbags we would be grateful for these to enhance imaginary play in our home/role play corner.  We also require cardboard boxes (cereal boxes, cake boxes etc.) for junk modelling.
